As I sat at the beginning of the year planning out what I was going to do over 2020 with Michelle Rose I didn’t quite plan it like this.
I think like so many business owners I have certainly had an eventful 2020 and it shows no signs of getting any easier at the moment.
HOWEVER
What is has taught me so far this year is that I am made of tough stuff and I can adapt and change my business when needed.
So what have I been doing for those of you that are new to follow me.
So as the country went into lockdown and we were all told to stay at home I decided to take my photography course online sooner than planned and the 6th intake of my mobile phone photography course is starting in October- if you would like to read more about them, you can find all the details here
I then decided that I wanted to try and do my bit for our amazing NHS and so I decided after seeing that Jo Wicks doorstep portrait that I was going to do these to raise money. I raised over £200 for our amazing NHS charities and I cant thank you enough for taking part. I am still doing doorstep portrait sessions and these are perfect as an alternative to school pictures as so many schools are not allowing the mixing of siblings for the school photographs. You could also announce new arrivals to your family with a doorstep portrait or perhaps celebrate picking up the keys to your new home? These sessions are 15 minutes long and include 1 digital image. The sessions are £35 each plus mileage charge.
I have then been really busy working with other business owners to help them improve their online presence. Branding photoshoots are so much more than just creating headshot portraits of you in stuffy poses but telling your brand story. Working with you from the initial conversation I will find out about your brand, your values and you so that your images reflect this. The session will capture images that can be used as portrait shots of you through to images that can be used for social media platforms to tell your audience what you do. Below is picture Nicola Little – Founder of Mint Business Club and I think this sums up the energy that Nicola brings to everything that she does. I have been attending Mint training and networking for the last two years. If you are looking for a networking club that also offers training and support too, further information can be found here
Each week I am going to be showcasing other small business owners that I have been working with recently as its a tricky time for us all at the moment but together we are stronger and anything that I can do to help others I will do.
Now I am getting requests to carry out “secret” photoshoots for families ahead of Christmas. Photoshoots are taking place now and the images are going to be gifted to parents/ grandparents for Christmas.
I am still allowed to work and meet with another household to be your photographer so if you would like to arrange a special session to give the beautiful images to family this Christmas, do get in touch. As we don’t know what further restrictions may be around the corner I would suggest booking in now. Weekend sessions are beginning to fill up quickly.
Lastly just to remind you that gift vouchers are available all year around. Gift vouchers are available electronically or can be posted directly to you.
So why not treat yourself or someone you love to a memory making experience. Something for you and your family to look forward to and make a day of it. Meeting me at a special location (or I can help you choose somewhere), I will capture you with the magic of my lens and you will have the images to treasure and love forever.
