Sarah Johnson · behind the camera
I photograph women in business who want to be seen clearly without becoming a polished stranger in the process.

The story behind the work
I came into photography after years in recruitment, major life changes and a growing need to build work that felt more human.
That background still shapes how I work now. I understand business, communication, confidence and the strange vulnerability that can come with being visible.
So when I photograph somebody, I’m thinking about more than the camera. I’m thinking about what the business needs to say, how you want to feel, and how to make the whole process easier.

What matters to me
You do not need to perform confidence for me. You do not need to know how to pose. You do not need to become someone else.
I’ll give direction, notice the details, keep the pace moving and make sure we create photographs that are both useful and recognisably you.
“I want you to leave with photographs that work hard — and still feel like you.”

In the room with me
Whether we are planning a brand shoot, talking through content or spending a day creating a deeper visual story, I want you to feel looked after without being over-directed.
I bring the business brain and the creative eye together. That means we can talk message, audience and positioning — then translate that into photographs people actually remember.
