Mindful Photography Workshop

A gentle, creative workshop to help you slow down, notice more and reconnect with the beauty in the everyday.
This 2-hour mindful photography workshop is designed for anyone who would love a little space to pause, breathe and create. You do not need to be “good” at photography and you do not need a fancy camera. You can bring your phone, your camera, or whatever you feel most comfortable using.
This is not a technical photography class full of complicated settings. It is a calming, creative experience that uses photography as a tool for mindfulness, self-care and presence.
What is mindful photography?
Mindful photography is about using your camera to slow down and really notice what is around you.
Instead of rushing to take the perfect photo, we focus on observation, curiosity, light, colour, texture, small details and the present moment.
It is a beautiful way to quieten the mind, reconnect with yourself and see ordinary things in a new way.
During the workshop, you will:
Explore simple mindful photography prompts
Learn how to use your phone or camera in a more intentional way
Take part in gentle observation exercises
Notice light, colour, texture, shape and detail
Use photography as a tool for calm, creativity and gratitude
Leave with fresh inspiration and a new way of seeing the world around you

I’m Sarah Johnson, a photographer, soon-to-be officially qualified leadership coach accredited by The Institute of Leadership, and author of a mindful photography book.
Photography has been such a powerful part of my own journey. It has helped me slow down, notice the small things, reconnect with gratitude and find hope in ordinary moments. This workshop brings together my love of photography, mindfulness and helping people see themselves and the world around them differently.
